ONE World Sports, America’s Network for Global Sports, announced its second annual month-long Soctober celebration of the network’s premium soccer content. From a sweepstakes offer for a trip to Germany to see Bayern Munich, to free network previews on Verizon and RCN, to a weekend filled with championship soccer telecasts, October is Soctober on ONE World Sports.

Beginning October 1, fans can enter a sweepstakes to win two tickets for a trip to Germany to see Bayern Munich host Schalke 04 at Allianz Arena.  To enter, fans vote for their favorite European club – Bayern Munich, Arsenal or Chelsea, all of whom are featured on ONE World Sports – and receive a free, customized, “virtual jersey” in that club’s locker room. The virtual jersey can then be shared via social media using the hashtags #Soctober and #DemandOWS. Secondary prizes for the sweepstakes include signed club memorabilia and merchandise. Throughout the month of Soctober, Verizon FiOS and RCN will offer subscribers a free preview of ONE World Sports and the opportunity to view intense soccer matches as well as other top sporting events from around the globe. ONE World Sports will also devote October 10-11, to Super Soctober Weekend featuring 11 soccer matches showcasing some of the best contests from the past year, including:

• 2015 FA Community Shield featuring Arsenal v Chelsea,
• AFC Asian Cup Championship featuring Korea v Australia,
• FA Cup featuring Arsenal v. Aston Villa,
• Bayern Munich v. Borussia Dortmund,
• EPL-clinching match of Chelsea v Crystal Palace, and
• The historic visit to Cuba by the New York Cosmos for a friendly against the Cuban national team.

The weekend culminates with live coverage of the New York Cosmos match vs FC Edmonton on October 11 at 5 p.m. ET, exclusively on ONE World Sports.
