The New York Cosmos Training and Development Program (TDP) is set to host its second Regional Development Center (RDC) in the New York region at The Sports Arena in St. James, N.Y. This RDC, which begins March 20, is open to young soccer players – male and female – in the U7-U11 age groups.

Tryouts for the newest Cosmos RDC will take place at Smithtown West High School in Smithtown, N.Y. on Saturday, Feb. 20 and Saturday, Feb. 27.

“We’re offering Regional Development Centers so talented young soccer players have extra opportunities to train, supplementing their progression with local clubs,” said John Fitzgerald, Director of Cosmos TDP. “Coming to The Sports Arena in Suffolk County is another step forward that we’re excited about. Our mission is to provide RDCs throughout the tri-state area.”

House of Sports in Westchester County (Ardsley, N.Y.) is the site of the inaugural Cosmos RDC, which opened in August of last year.
