Cosmos Country is coming up big in support of charitable causes.

On September 10, the club hosted Military Appreciation Night at Hofstra’s Shuart Stadium. Fans responded by donating over 900 tickets and meals to the USO, while the Cosmos defeated Minnesota United 1-0.

Last Saturday, September 17 was Go Gold Night at the stadium, an initiative to raise awareness and funding for pediatric cancer. Over 125 “Go Gold” ticket packages were sold, with a portion of each ticket donated to the American Cancer Society. In a showdown of the NASL’s top teams, New York and Edmonton battled to a draw.

In total, over $10,000 was raised by Cosmos fans for the causes between the two home matches.

Get involved by supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Night presented by Main Street Radiology on Sunday, October 2. The Cosmos will take on the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. For $20 you can get the "MSR Kicking it for Cancer" package, which includes a sideline ticket to the match and a $5 donation to the "Kicks for Cancer" charity. Call 855-71-COSMOS for details.
