Coming off of last night's unexpected loss at the hands of the Brooklyn Italians in the final minutes of the match, the Cosmos B looked to rebound at home against the New York Athletic Club.

As the match got under way, the Cosmos B were eager and well motivated. Within minutes, Bledi Bardic crossed a ball to Christian Thierjung, who put a foot onto it, scoring the first goal of the game in the 3rd minute. With a 1-0 lead, the pace and momentum was all in favor of the Cosmos B. As the game progressed, so did the Cosmos B's chances. Entering the 23rd minute, Lucas Coutinho set up Thierjung, who ran around his defender and ripped a shot for his second goal of the game, giving the Cosmos B a 2-0 lead.

Thierjung netted his hat-trick with minutes to go in the first half, ripping a shot past the keeper in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute, NYAC was awarded a penalty, but Cosmos B goalkeeper, Kevin Tenjo, saved the spot kick and kept the clean sheet. The Cosmos B headed into the locker room with a confident 3-0 lead.

The Cosmos B came out strong for the second half and maintained possession. The second half was not as high scoring as the first, but it sure was good for the Cosmos B. Holding most of the ball and slowing the tempo down, they had the win in the bag as the game neared the final ten minutes. Some fresh legs in defense made sure the Cosmos B kept away any pressure and chances by the opponent.

The Cosmos B's lead was secure leading up to the final whistle, as the team recorded a 3-0 win over New York Athletic Club.

It was a great performance by the team and a memorable one by Christian Thierjung, who helped lead the Cosmos B to a fantastic victory with his hat-trick.
