The New York Cosmos will host Indy Eleven at MCU Park on Saturday, August 19.

The Cosmos kicked off the Fall Season with four points in three games, playing to a 1-1 draw against FC Edmonton on August 11. New York's top scorer, Emmanuel Ledesma, tallied his sixth goal in 11 games, sending a 66th minute equalizer from distance into the upper 90. The Argentine's game-leveler earned a NASL Play of the Week nod, and his overall performance in the game added a fourth Team of the Week award to his resume. Ledesma is currently tied for fourth in the league in goals scored.

New York head home to take on the 2016 NASL runners-up, who emerge from a 3-1 loss away to Miami FC. Éamon Zayed's 88th minute consolation goal was not enough to change the outcome for Indy, who have failed to register a single shutout on the road this year. Heading into the fourth week of NASL action, Indy are one of two teams in the league with a negative goal difference (-3).

The Cosmos and the Boys in Blue last met on July 8 at Michael A. Carroll Stadium. Eric Calvillo provided the assist to Ledesma's 27th minute equalizer, and the Cosmos were unlucky not to turn more of their chances into goals, losing 2-1 in their first trip to The Mike this year. Don Smart's spot kick and Justin Braun's close-range header off a Nemanja Vuković corner kick powered Indy past New York.

Saturday's game has the potential to be high-scoring, as the Cosmos and Indy are both among the league's top four teams with the most goals. The Cosmos have netted in 27 goals, while Indy have scored 25. New York have taken the second-most shots in the NASL (270). Indy are fourth, with 226. The Boys in Blue are also tied for second in the NASL in goals conversion (14%), while being tied for most goals conceded in the league (29).

The Cosmos have a 1-7-3 (W-D-L) record against Indy Eleven, scoring 12 goals to Indy's 14. New York have yet to win in the matchup at MCU Park, and will look to get three points while entertaining the ever-supportive crowd in Brooklyn.
