The New York Cosmos will head to Indianapolis for the second time this season as they battle Indy Eleven on Saturday, October 7 at 7:30 p.m. ET in the teams’ fourth and final meeting of the Regular Season.

Indianapolis has not been a friendly place for the Cosmos over the years, as Giovanni Savarese’s squad has yet to win a game (3D-3L) at Michael A. Carroll Stadium since Indy Eleven joined the NASL in 2014.

The Cosmos (8-12-7, Combined Standings) won 1-0 over Puerto Rico FC on Sunday night. Javi Márquez scored the only goal of the game in the 73rd minute off an assist from Andrés Flores. Jimmy Maurer earned his fifth clean sheet of the season as the Cosmos earned their first win since July 29.

Indy Eleven (7-10-10, Combined Standings) are also coming off a home victory over Puerto Rico FC. On Wednesday, Eamon Zayed scored a brace on his birthday to lead Indy to a 2-1 win, moving his side out of the basement in the Fall Season standings. Indy struggled in the possession battle, holding the ball for just 41.5 percent of the game.

New York heads into Saturday’s game in the fourth and final playoff position in the NASL with 36 points in the Combined Standings. A win could move the Cosmos into third place. Indy currently sits sixth with 31 points.

The teams last met on October 19 at MCU Park, with a wild game resulting in a 3-3 draw. The visitors jumped ahead early on a pair of goals from Gerardo Torrado in the game’s first 15 minutes. But New York answered to tie the game on goals from Dejan Jaković and Pablo Vranjicán. Zayed then put Indy ahead before Juan Guerra’s equalizer in the 84th minute made sure the teams split the points.

All-time, the Cosmos are 1-8-3 (W-D-L) against Indy Eleven. This season, New York is 0-2-1, scoring 5 goals to Indy’s 6. The Cosmos defeated Indy 0-0 (4-2) in a penalty shootout in last season’s Championship Final in the teams’ only post-season matchup.

The game is set to start on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. Tune in to MSG Networks or ESPN3 to watch live.
