New York Cosmos B had an outburst of goals on Sunday afternoon, scoring six times in a resounding 6-1 defeat of Greater Lowell NPSL FC at Rocco B. Commisso Stadium.

New York didn’t wait long to score its first of the contest as Bledi Bardic found the back of the net in the ninth minute. Bardic’s opener was only the opening salvo of what was in store for Cosmos B’s attack.

The advantage was doubled when Chris Wingert was able to get a touch on John Neeskens corner in the 30th minute before Wojciech Wojcik tapped home from close range after a Giusseppe Barone pass in the 41st minute to send the home side into the halftime break up 3-0.

Greater Lowell would pull one back just two minutes after the start of the second half when Jamar Campion-Hinds scored from a rebound.

That goal, though, was the only blip during the day for New York. The three-goal lead was restored when Barone once again played provider for Wojcik’s second goal of the game in the 53rd minute. Eight minutes later, Bardic chipped the goalkeeper for his second of the game.

Cosmos B rounded up the scoring in the 87th minute when second-half substitute Reece Dalton placed the ball in the top corner after his initial effort was saved.

New York has now won all three of its games to start the NPSL season.
