DEFENDER

Davey Mason is a dynamic defender for the New York Cosmos, bringing pace, experience, and attacking quality to the backline. Known for his ability to push forward and deliver in the final third, Mason plays a key role on both sides of the ball.

A Maryland native, Mason developed through the Bethesda Soccer Club system before continuing his career at the collegiate level with Georgetown University and Loyola University Maryland. At Loyola, he earned All-Patriot League honors and established himself as one of the conference’s top defenders.

Mason began his professional career with FC Baltimore Christos and the Maryland Bobcats, where he helped lead the club to postseason success. He later gained valuable USL League One experience with South Georgia Tormenta FC, making over 30 appearances and contributing offensively from the backline.

Now with the Cosmos, Mason adds veteran leadership, consistency, and energy on the flank as the club builds toward a strong return to professional competition
