Massimo Morabito joins the New York Cosmos with a strong technical base and a defensive profile shaped through competitive academy environments. His development reflects a blend of tactical discipline and adaptability, allowing him to operate across multiple roles along the back line.

Morabito progressed through structured systems that emphasize defensive organization and positional awareness. Prior to joining the Cosmos, he was part of the Philadelphia Union Academy, Orlando City Academy and FC Delco, where he built a strong foundation in disciplined defending and composure in possession. His ability to adapt within different defensive structures highlights his understanding of team shape and collective responsibility.

Primarily deployed as a fullback, he combines defensive awareness with the stamina to contribute in wide areas. He is comfortable defending in space, reading overlapping runs, and supporting transitions both defensively and offensively. In possession, he provides clean distribution and supports build-up phases from the back.
