FORWARD

Sebastián Guenzatti is a seasoned professional forward who returns to the New York Cosmos as a centerpiece of the club’s 2026 USL League One squad. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Guenzatti moved to Queens, New York as a child and developed his game through youth soccer in the city before starting his professional career. 

Guenzatti first made his mark with the Cosmos from 2013 to 2016, playing a key role in three North American Soccer League (NASL) titles and earning a reputation as a clutch attacker and leader.  After his first Cosmos stint, he enjoyed a long and prolific run in the USL Championship – most notably with the Tampa Bay Rowdies, where he became the club’s all-time leading scorer and helped lead the team to the 2021 USL Championship Players’ Shield. 

He later represented Indy Eleven and Detroit City FC, consistently showing goal-scoring instinct and veteran savvy. As a Cosmos returnee, Guenzatti brings championship pedigree, professional maturity, and an attacking presence capable of influencing results on the pitch while mentoring the next generation of talent.
