The Five Points were established in 2013, coinciding with the New York Cosmos’ return to the field. Formed as a united supporters’ section, The Five Points brought together five distinct groups: Cross Island Crew, La Banda Del Cosmos, Brigada 71, Green Legion and Katra Locos. An additional group, Hudson River Hive, joined the collective in September 2025.

Together, they embody the passion, tradition and spirit of the Cosmos, creating a vibrant and enduring home for supporters at Hinchliffe Stadium.

Why “The Five Points”

Our name is rooted in the heart and history of New York.

First, it pays tribute to The Five Points, a legendary neighborhood in 19th-century Manhattan. Though often remembered for its rough reputation, it was also one of the city’s first true melting pots—a place where immigrants and freed communities came together and blended cultures, music and traditions. Out of struggle and diversity came strength and identity, much like the spirit of our supporters’ section today.

Second, we draw inspiration from 5Pointz, the iconic graffiti landmark in Queens. Known worldwide as the “mecca of street art,” 5Pointz represented all five boroughs of New York City. It was bold, creative and unapologetically New York—a living canvas of expression that spoke for the streets and the people.

By combining these two legacies, The Five Points stands for more than just a name. It’s a reminder that our strength comes from community, creativity and passion. On matchdays, that energy lives in our songs, our banners and our voices—uniting past and present in the stands and in support of the Cosmos.
