Southside Soccer Club, a Cosmos Club Partner, is a player-first community academy in Haledon built to grow confidence, creativity and a love for the game in every kid.
Southside is named after the street where its founders grew up. It is where everything started and it still feels like home. They learned to play right there in the neighborhood, on pavement and in parks, and now they get to pass that same energy to the next generation.
Building something meaningful for their community has taken belief, sacrifice and commitment to the mission. They teach their players that ideas grow when you trust them. Build your team. Believe in your vision. Growth starts there.
With the Cosmos now in Paterson that mission feels even bigger. The partnership brings history and possibility to a new home and shows every kid in the program that the path to something greater is real and close. And for Jose Zamora it means giving young players something to aim for. As he says, “We want our kids to look at the Cosmos and say, ‘That’s something we can do.’”
For Southside and the Cosmos, soccer is more than a sport. It is culture. It brings people together. It is unity, pride and home.
