NO. 18 PROPELS COSMOS TO VICTORY

Juan Arango was named the NASL Player of the Week following his first regular season game. He scored two goals on April 3 in a Cosmos win against the Ottawa Fury FC, showing fans and foes that he is a force to be reckoned with on the soccer pitch.

“Juan had a very good game, and he was smart in finding spaces and being able to get those balls in the right area in order to score,” said New York Cosmos Head Coach Gio Savarese. “He had two other chances on top of the goals, and they happened because he was very smart in the way he moved.”

In the first 10 games of the year, he leads all Cosmos midfielders in offensive production. He has tallied four goals and three assists in 824 minutes played.
