Ledesma Named to NASL Team of the Month

Published Jun 9, 2017
Emmanuel Ledesma earned a spot in the NASL Team of the Month, proving to be a strong asset for the New York Cosmos. The Argentine midfielder made his debut in April, scoring the game winner against the San Francisco Deltas, with a brilliant chip to beat goalkeeper Romuald Peiser.
Since then, Ledesma has found his place into Head Coach and Sporting Director, Giovanni Savarese’s squad. He was recognized by the NASL for his hard work during the month of May, being named to the Team of the Week on two occasions.
The 29 year-old midfielder played all three league matches this past month, and set up two goals against Puerto Rico FC. He’s currently tied with teammates Walter Restrepo and Ryan Richter for most assists, each with two this season.
The Cosmos return to action when they host North Carolina FC on Saturday, June 10 at 4:00 pm. Tickets are on sale now. For more information, click here.
