The New York Cosmos will take on FC Edmonton at Clarke Stadium on Friday, August 11.

The Cosmos plan to bounce back after a 2-1 away defeat to the San Francisco Deltas. Pablo Vranjicán scored for the Cosmos in the third minute, sending in a close range effort. The Argentine recorded his second goal for the club while making his fifth consecutive start.

The Eddies earned their first Fall Season victory last weekend, downing Indy Eleven 3-1 in a rematch on the road following a 2-1 home defeat in the matchup. Dustin Corea's brace, along with a goal by Albert Watson, brought the Eddies their second away win this year.

New York last played Edmonton in the closing game of the 2017 Spring Season, topping Head Coach, Colin Miller's side 1-0 at Clarke Stadium. A standout performance by Eric Calvillo saw the 19-year-old finish in the six-yard box for his second goal of the year, earning New York three points on the road. Calvillo was recently named NASL Player of the Month for July.

The Cosmos have a 4-5-4 (W-D-L) record against FC Edmonton, outscoring the Eddies 17-15. New York haven't lost at Clarke Stadium since July 27 of last year.
