New York Cosmos defender, Jimmy Mulligan, and midfielders, Javi Márquez and Andrés Flores, were named to the NASL Team of the Week for Week 10 of the 2017 Fall Season. 

All three players were instrumental in the Cosmos’ 1-0 win over Puerto Rico FC on Sunday night at MCU Park.

In the first half, Puerto Rico’s Giuseppe Gentile made a steal and rolled a shot toward the vacant net after beating Cosmos goalkeeper, Jimmy Maurer, but Mulligan hustled back to make the crucial save. Mulligan also won all five of his tackles on Sunday.

Later in the game, Flores and Márquez combined on the game-winning goal. Flores played a role in the build-up to the goal as his pass assisted on Marquez’s low strike for the only goal of the game in the 73rd minute as the Cosmos took all three points from Puerto Rico FC.

Mulligan earned his first Team of the Week award for the season, Márquez received his fifth, while Flores got his second.
