The NASL has named New York Cosmos defender, Dejan Jaković, to its Team of the Week for Week 12 of the 2017 Fall Season.

The defender was named the Emirates Man of the Match for his stout defensive performance in New York’s scoreless draw against FC Edmonton on Saturday, October 14, at MCU Park.

Jaković posted a 93.3 percent passing accuracy rate after connecting 56 of his 61 passes, the highest percentage of any starter on either team. He was also strong on the back line with three clearances, a couple of them from just in front of the goal line.

This marks the fifth time Jaković has been named to the NASL Team of the Week and the sixth straight week the Cosmos have been represented in the weekly honors.

Jaković and the Cosmos begin a crucial two-game road trip with a matchup against Puerto Rico FC on Wednesday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Central Broward Stadium in Lauaderhill, FL.
