UNIONDALE (April 17, 2018) – Former FC Cincinnati defender and central midfielder, Garrett Halfhill, 24, has signed with New York Cosmos B for the 2018 NPSL Season.

“Garrett is an athletic guy with some versatility,” said New York Cosmos Head Coach, Carlos Mendes. “He needs to get minutes to continue to improve and he might be able to do that with us at a couple of positions.”

Halfhill attended Xavier University appearing in 84 matches over his four-year college career.  He was signed by FC Cincinnati in May of 2017 from the PDL’s Cincinnati Dutch Lions and appeared in three matches last season.

“I’m really looking forward to this opportunity with the Cosmos,” said Halfhill. “I plan to work hard for playing time, but there’s also so much to learn from Carlos. He started his career as a defensive midfielder and switched to center back.  I think we’ll have a lot in common.”

Cosmos B also added goalkeeper, Macklin Robinson, 24, formerly of North Carolina FC by way Old Dominion and De Paul Universities.

In signing Robinson, Mendes said, “he’s our first official signing at goalkeeper. He’s a young guy by goalkeeping standards and he has potential. We expect him to compete for the starting position.”
