The New York Cosmos announced today a number of roster moves.

The club has signed forward Shavon John-Brown, who recently played for NPSL rival Brooklyn Italians. John-Brown, 24, also has an international appearance for Grenada under his belt, which came in a friendly against Guyana in 2012.

Several players have also departed the club. Midfielder Ricardo Bocanegra joined Charlotte Independence in the United Soccer League, goalkeeper Kevin Tenjo was transferred to NPSL Members Cup Milwaukee Torrent, and midfielder Brian Moya was released.

The Cosmos face Milwaukee today at 7 p.m. at Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale, N.Y., in the club’s first Members Cup home game.
