The Cosmos is a dynamic and innovative sports organization committed to building world-class soccer teams and growing a European-style sports and culture club. We are excited to announce the launch of our men’s team in USL League One in 2026 and our women’s team in 2028 (league to be determined).
Position Summary
The Part-Time Public Address (PA) Announcer serves as the official voice of the Cosmos on matchdays and at select club events. This individual will deliver clear, energetic, and professional announcements that enhance the matchday atmosphere, engage supporters, and ensure accurate communication of essential game information.
The ideal candidate brings strong vocal presence, professionalism, preparation, and the ability to energize a live crowd in a dynamic soccer environment. Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred to reflect and engage the diverse Cosmos fan base.
Key Responsibilities
Matchday Duties
- Serve as the official in-stadium voice for all home matches
- Deliver starting lineups, goal announcements, substitutions, disciplinary actions, and other official match updates accurately and clearly
- Announce sponsor reads, promotional activations, community acknowledgments, and special recognitions
- Coordinate closely with Matchday Operations, Media, and Technical Staff to ensure proper timing and execution of announcements
- Maintain neutrality and professionalism in accordance with league standards and club guidelines
- Adjust tone and pacing to match game flow and crowd energy
Event & Club Engagement
- Provide PA services for select club events, press conferences, community appearances, and special matches as needed
- Assist in creating a consistent and engaging matchday presentation aligned with the Cosmos brand
- Participate in pre-match production meetings and rehearsals when required
Preparation & Compliance
- Review and rehearse scripts prior to matches
- Ensure correct pronunciation of player names, officials, and sponsors
- Follow all league regulations regarding in-stadium announcements
- Maintain punctuality and professional appearance at all events
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Public Address Announcer, broadcaster, or live event host preferred
- Strong vocal clarity, projection, timing, and crowd engagement skills
- Fluency in English required; fluency in Spanish strongly preferred
- Knowledge of soccer terminology and match flow
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays during the season
- Ability to remain composed and professional in a fast-paced live-event environment
- Strong preparation habits and attention to detail
- Passion for soccer and understanding of supporter culture
Compensation
This is a part-time position and will be paid with a match day stipend.
