Hometown: Paterson, NJ

Hi! I’m Sandra Navarro Davalos, a proud Peruvian-American and Paterson, NJ native.

Born and raised in the Silk City, I carry my hometown pride into everything I do with the club. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania as a QuestBridge Scholar on a full four-year scholarship, with a degree in Communication concentrating in Advocacy & Activism and minors in Fine Arts and Latin American Studies. At the Cosmos, I lead community partnerships and programming, overseeing events and initiatives that connect the club to the people and neighborhoods we represent, while also collaborating on marketing and social media efforts to ensure our brand reflects our community.

Outside of soccer, culture and movement are a big part of my life. I’m the founder of Festejo Fusion, an Afro-Peruvian dance group based right here in Paterson. Beyond festejo, I have dance and choreographing experience in salsa, bachata, merengue, and hip hop. I am currently a salsa performer in NYC with Moore Mambo Ladies. 

I’m passionate about building authentic relationships and creating spaces where families, local businesses, and community leaders feel connected to the Cosmos.
