DEFENDER

Will Noecker joins the New York Cosmos with a strong defensive profile shaped through competitive collegiate environments and consistent high-level play. The Cosmos sign defender Will Noecker after he earned his place in the squad through his performances on a 25-day contract, breaking into the starting XI and contributing to back-to-back wins.

Noecker built his foundation at Binghamton University, where he earned recognition for his performances, including selection to the America East All-Tournament Team. He later continued his development at NC State, competing in one of the most demanding conferences in college soccer and further refining his defensive awareness and tactical understanding.

Primarily deployed as a center back, he combines strength in duels with strong positioning and the ability to read the game. He is comfortable defending in space, organizing the back line, and managing aerial situations. In possession, he shows composure and reliability, contributing to build-up play with simple, effective distribution.

Noecker brings consistency, physicality, and a team-first mentality to the Cosmos defensive unit. His experience across different competitive environments aligns with the club’s emphasis on structure, discipline, and building a strong defensive foundation in USL League One.
