Texas native Hunter Freeman found himself in a familiar position after Wednesday's 2-1 win over Minnesota United FC. On Sunday he scored, his team won and he was named Man of the Match. It happened again on Wednesday night.

This time he tallied his side's second goal of the game, a scorching strike from outside the box into the upper right corner of the net. Minnesota goalkeeper Mitch Hildebrandt could do nothing about it.

The Cosmos came out on top 2-1, and the media voted Freeman Emirates Man of the Match for the second time in four days.

Members of the media will cast their votes to determine the Emirates Cosmos Man of the Match at every Cosmos home game. At each home match, the winner will receive an Emirates Airbus A380 model airplane with an engraved plaque recognizing the player’s achievement.

The Emirates Cosmos Man of the Match award will culminate in a season-ending Emirates Cosmos Player of the Year award. The recipient of the Emirates Cosmos Player of the Year award will receive two round trip tickets on Emirates from New York (JFK) to Dubai (DXB) to celebrate a triumphant season.
