Your 2015 Emirates Cosmos Player of the Year is Ayoze. 

The Spanish defender started 27 of 30 regular season matches for New York at left back, scoring one goal and chipping in five assists in 2,376 minutes on the pitch. The Cosmos were Spring Season and Combined Season champions of the North American Soccer League (NASL) this year, earning the top seed in the postseason.

Ayoze played a vital role for the Cosmos in his third season with the club, exhibiting great awareness in the defensive third while putting pressure on opposing defenses going forward with his vision and technical ability on the ball.

"We have worked hard in the regular season, and what we accomplished feels great," Ayoze told Cosmos TV. 

In the second-to-last match of the Fall Season, Ayoze scored his first goal of the year on a missile of a match-winning free kick, beating San Antonio Scorpions goalkeeper Daniel Fernandes. Perhaps one of the team's most important goals of the year, it helped the Cosmos keep pace with Ottawa Fury FC at the top of the table, setting up a first-place finish in the final weekend of the regular season.

Ayoze becomes the second Cosmos player to earn this distinction. Fellow defender Hunter Freeman was the first Emirates Cosmos Player of the Year back in 2014. Along with the recognition as Emirates Cosmos Player of the Year, Ayoze will receive two round trip plane tickets on Emirates from New York to Dubai.

Members of the media will cast their votes to determine the Emirates Cosmos Man of the Match at every Cosmos home game. At each home match, the winner will receive an Emirates Airbus A380 model airplane with an engraved plaque recognizing the player’s achievement.

The Emirates Cosmos Man of the Match award will culminate in a season-ending Emirates Cosmos Player of the Year award. The recipient of the Emirates Cosmos Player of the Year award will receive two round trip tickets on Emirates from New York (JFK) to Dubai (DXB) to celebrate a triumphant season.
